    My new Cat came with 2 ring looking things. One is about 2'' tall and is metal looking in the center and black on the outside. Then I have this other thing that is a ring/pipe that is a little fatter on one side and then gets smaller inward, is that the Resonator?

    Those should be the seals/gaskets... When you remove your old cat, you'll see where the old ones are, and where to put the new ones.
